Dr. Paul J. Morrison is a pastor, theologian, and ethicist living and serving in Cleveland, Ohio.
Paul was raised in the church, living in the small, East Texas, town of Crockett. As he grew up, he made his faith his own and sought to follow Christ and serve His bride, the church. His love and diligence toward the Church grows each passing moment. Paul is an avid sports fan, a lover of apple pie with black coffee, and cannot clap on beat to save his life.
Paul received a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from The College at Southwestern (now Texas Baptist College), a Master of Divinity with concentrations in Christian Ethics and Biblical Languages, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Ethics and Biblical Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Paul serves as Theologian in Residence at City Church and as Director of Ohio Theological Institute, where he teaches Christian Ethics and Biblical Theology. His primary interests include Christian ethics with an affinity towards racial ethics, biblical theology, and higher education. Paul is also a fellow of The Center for Pastor Theologians.
Paul married his college sweetheart, Sarah, in 2014. Paul and Sarah live with their daughter and serve the church together in Cleveland, Ohio. You can find Sarah’s written work at writeful.blog. Paul and Sarah share a strong conviction: to equip and love the Bride of Christ. Whether that manifests through involvement in local education, leading bible studies, or cleaning toilets, they are joyful to serve and work alongside fellow believers. As they work in the local church, they hope to extend the reaches of their writing further. And in so doing, pray to see saints encouraged and offered resources to grow deeper in their faith and knowledge of Christian living.
